Probably Stolen 1.0.0.2: Water Balance and Hotfix

Hotfix 1.0.0.2 reworks the Water Purifier, lowers Moisture Farm and Water Filter prices, cuts Normal markup and fixes several launch issues.

What are the water balance changes?

The official Water Balance & Hotfix — 1.0.0.2 post reworks the Water Purifier’s logic and reduces two purchase prices.

Change Before After
Moisture Farm price 650 350
Water Filter price 50 25
Dr. Jackson’s markup on Normal 25% 15%

The purifier change is a behavior change, not just a discount. Read the current machine tooltip when planning a batch. The water guide explains the workflow, while the calculator lets you enter a removal amount and Max Purity directly.

What does the cheaper equipment mean for a shop?

A lower purchase price reduces the cash needed to start or expand the line. It does not make power, containers or ingredients disappear from the business plan. Keep the next rent payment available while comparing an upgrade with the cash it will tie up.

The price reduction and Jackson’s markup reduction also describe different parts of a purchase. An item’s base price is one input; the vendor’s displayed offer is the transaction in front of you. See recipes and equipment for a table that keeps those base values separate from a guaranteed selling price.

Which other fixes ship in this update?

  • Lou can no longer be shot during any visit.
  • The Gunsmith start’s 3D Printer includes its instruction note.
  • The Saved days per run slider displays its current value.
  • The blackmailer offers the payment option correctly when enough credits are available.
  • The marketplace request interface is corrected for non-English languages.

Where does this fit in the patch history?

Steam timestamps the announcement October 28 at 23:28 UTC, which is October 29 in parts of Asia. This is the second post-launch hotfix. The earlier 1.0.0.1 changes Lou reporting and fixes inspections, storage and interface behavior.

If you are returning from the demo or an opening-day guide, compare the current water setup before purchasing several machines. For the broader expansion decision, read making money.
