Probably Stolen Aquafarming Guide: Tanks, Fish and Water

Start aquafarming in Probably Stolen, maintain tank circulation and water quality, breed fish and understand tilapia, eels and sturgeons.

What does an Aquafarmer start with?

The official 1.0 preview lists Aquafarmer among the nine launch scenarios. Its opening business centers on tilapia and recirculating aquaculture systems. Water quality, food and the environment affect the fish you raise.

The October demo’s Aquafarmer update introduced this as a slower-paced alternative to rat ranching with less maintenance. That makes it an appealing business to learn deliberately, but a functioning tank still needs its basic conditions met.

What keeps a tank working?

Manage water quality, filtration and the energy cell that circulates the tank. Read each species’ habitat requirements instead of assuming every fish thrives in the same setup. Tilapia is the starting stock; later opportunities include eels and sturgeons.

Keep a practical order when something goes wrong:

  1. Look at the tank’s power and circulation.
  2. Read the water and filtration state.
  3. Check food and the fish’s habitat needs.
  4. Decide whether to expand only after the current tank is stable.

Fix power, water and feeding problems before expanding. Extra equipment is useful when it solves the condition holding the current fish back.

How do fish reproduce?

With appropriate conditions, fish lay and fertilize roe. Eggs hatch into swarms of fry, which grow into mature fish. The official announcement also says tanks can be upgraded with the right materials.

Leave room in the business plan for that growth. A tank is both production equipment and habitat; harvesting everything or over-expanding before you understand the cycle can make it harder to keep a steady line running.

How do you harvest fish products?

Use a knife to slaughter and butcher fish for meat. Certain species provide other resources. The official example is Surgery Tools on sturgeons for caviar.

Keep harvesting tools with your production supplies and sellable outputs elsewhere. That simple separation helps prevent the equipment needed by the business from disappearing in an ordinary sale.

For liquid planning, use water purification and the purity calculator. For the larger inventory routine, read shop management. The starting scenarios page compares fish with crops, rats and water trading.
