Probably Stolen Factions and Reputation Guide

Understand the six faction reputation tracks, trading relationships and the risks of treating every customer as an ordinary sale.

Which factions have reputation tracks?

The six launch reputation tracks are Lower Levels, Upper Levels, Security, Black Market, Revolution and Sector 13 Cartel. Their interests compete. A good relationship with one group does not mean every visitor is safe or every offer is worth accepting.

Faction Business question to ask
Lower Levels Does the stock suit ordinary station customers?
Upper Levels Can the shop support a premium-goods business?
Security Are the stock and the report worth the legal risk?
Black Market What exposure comes with this opportunity?
Revolution How does this decision affect the political relationship?
Sector 13 Cartel What obligation is attached to this deal?

Each faction has its own reputation track and reputation perks. Consider the payout and the relationship you want to build before accepting an offer.

How do reputation perks differ from starting perks?

Starting perks are chosen before a run. Reputation effects respond to the standing you build during play. Read the active and inactive entries in the game’s faction panel when a benefit appears to change. The perk reference includes a collapsed table of reputation thresholds and effects.

A starting reputation bonus is an opening advantage rather than a permanent guarantee. For example, Model Citizen and Well Connected help shape the beginning, while Diplomatic changes trade reputation gains. Compare these in the perk table before choosing a later run.

Why is the reporting decision important?

Not every customer is an ordinary buyer. The official store description warns that a visitor may be a security agent, a revolutionary or a fallen elite. Approving, refusing or reporting a transaction has consequences beyond the immediate payment.

Lou provides a concrete patch example: 1.0.0.1 removes the Black Market reputation loss from reporting her. Use current patch behavior for that decision rather than an older warning.

How should you protect a long run?

Avoid building a plan around a relationship you are actively destroying. Review the reputation consequences shown by the game before accepting a bargain. The biggest numerical price is not necessarily the best total outcome when stock, access and story obligations are involved.

Hostile extremes have major story consequences. Those exact outcomes are kept in the spoiler-safe endings guide. For the ordinary business side of avoiding trouble, return to shop management.
