Probably Stolen Hotfix 1.0.0.1: Lou and Inspection Fixes

Hotfix 1.0.0.1 changes Lou reporting, fixes Smuggler Bay confiscation, corrects Merchant discounts and improves several fullscreen UI issues.

What changes for Lou?

Reporting Lou to Security no longer lowers Black Market reputation. This is the patch’s direct relationship change, useful when following her story or deciding how to handle a report.

The later 1.0.0.2 hotfix changes a separate interaction by preventing shooting Lou on any visit. Keep the two updates distinct when comparing older advice. The characters guide gives the wider launch-story context.

What is fixed in inspections and containers?

The patch fixes confiscation of items inside a Smuggler Bay in two particular cases: the bay had been put in the trash, or a Mini Smuggler Bay had been kept behind the poster. It also prevents the Hypertech Storage Bay from being placed inside smuggler bays.

Follow the Smuggler Bay’s storage and placement rules when handling restricted goods.

What changes in trading and fullscreen windows?

The Merchant now states the discount actually used by the selected difficulty instead of always claiming 15%. Read that dialogue alongside the offer rather than using the old fixed wording to budget a purchase.

The hotfix also fixes:

  • Appraisal and other tooltips appearing behind their windows on non-16:9 fullscreen displays.
  • The Wanted board, Exchange sheet and Tablet snapping back in size when another document opens.
  • Tutorial hints persisting after sleep or appearing at an after-hours location.
  • An empty pause menu after pressing Escape while traveling.
  • Main-menu music ignoring its volume setting after a run.
  • The main-menu Mods panel failing to close with Escape.
  • Russian difficulty reputation text and an Immunivax font issue.

Use the shop routine for handling windows and inventory, and the system-requirements guide for the PC listing and display context. For the prices and purifier changes that followed this patch, go to 1.0.0.2.
